Caesarstone’s 5171 Arabetto and 5111 Statuario Nuvo surfaces featured in this joyful and bright family home.

Table linen designer and creative consultant, Rosanna Falconer (@rosannafalconer), lives in South-West London with her husband and two daughters. They share a charming Victorian house filled with whimsical prints and vibrant colours, inspired by her favourite city: Jaipur. These interiors are the result of an ambitious 10-month extension and renovation project, during which they reimagined the kitchen and a dated bathroom. Both spaces feature opulent marble-inspired Caesarstone surfaces – with 5171 Arabetto throughout the kitchen and 5111 Statuario Nuvo in the bathroom.

"This is a hard-working family home, so we require resilience and hygiene, first and foremost – and Caesarstone worktops provide just that,” shares Rosanna. “They’re beautiful, yet offer strength, durability, and easy maintenance that are unachievable in stones like marble or granite. I also really appreciate Caesarstone’s outstanding values when it comes to ethics, sustainability, and traceability.”

The family’s L-shaped kitchen features sage cabinetry with brass hardware, topped with Caesarstone 5171 Arabetto surfaces, and complete with open shelving and a gallery wall of artwork collected from their travels. The worktop’s design boasts swirls of jade and copper threading through a polished white base. This veining ties in flawlessly with the muted green-grey units and warm-toned pulls and taps.

She explains: “Our key words for the kitchen were sociable, practical, and happy. My husband and I have always said one of the few things we have in common is our love of a good party. So, this kitchen combines dining space with plenty of floor space, allowing guests to chat nearby while we cook. After how cramped our old kitchen was, we wanted to keep it open with no upper cabinets or kitchen island. The Caesarstone-adorned peninsula offers the benefits of an island, but without taking up as much space. It's been invaluable for cooking with the children, flower arranging, and perching around with drinks. It all feels very open and welcoming.”

When it came to the bathroom, Rosanna was inspired by the cerulean and cobalt floral frescoes her family spotted during a recent visit to India. On the vanity, two kaleidoscopic basins from London Basin Company are framed in Caesarstone’s 5111 Statuario Nuvo. The worktop’s creamy white background is delicately touched by dark greys and soft browns, mimicking a classic marble stone. A floral sink skirt hangs below, made from blue block-printed fabric – carefully selected to match the basin’s joyful pattern.

“Caesarstone came highly recommended by our architect,” she explains. “I think his email went something along the lines of ‘please, you have children, you must go practical with Caesarstone, NOT marble!’”

He knew Rosanna’s worktops would need to withstand years of heavy wear and tear. Her family required elegant yet highly resilient surfaces that could be wiped clean at the end of the day, with no stains left behind. Caesarstone ticked all these boxes, blending durability with impeccable design – in both the kitchen and bathroom.
