Caesarstone’s surfaces transform a Georgian kitchen display

Bespoke kitchen designer Rencraft’s Tunbridge Wells showroom, located in a historic Georgian townhouse on Calverley Road, demonstrates how prospective customers can perfectly marry architectural heritage with modern kitchen design. The showroom, which originally opened over 25 years ago and then relaunched in September 2023, welcomed the addition of several striking Caesarstone surfaces which beautifully uplift and complement the space.

Visitors are welcomed into an environment that feels more like a beautifully designed home than a conventional showroom. The basement showcases a Green Heritage kitchen, where Caesarstone’s 5810 Black Tempal surface surrounds a traditional aga. 5151 Empira White is also featured prominently, topping the peninsula island and breakfast bar, and enhancing their elegance and functionality. This vignette, paired with bespoke cabinetry, provokes thoughtful consideration of colour, style, and finish, inviting clients to engage with the space. It also exquisitely showcases the versatility of Caesarstone surfaces.

The showroom also includes a stunning Penthouse kitchen display, featuring Caesarstone’s 220 Magnate Porcelain design surrounding the chimney breast and BORA ovens, adding a modern yet sophisticated element. The surface demonstrates the versatility of Caesarstone, seamlessly blending with Rencraft’s unique kitchen designs and allowing customers to visualise how the surfaces could look in their own kitchens.

Caesarstone's Magnate Porcelain kitchen surfaces in a Rencraft showroomRencraft faced several design challenges in maintaining the historical integrity of the Georgian building while incorporating modern elements. The showroom design sympathetically works with the natural features of the space, including high Georgian ceilings, tall sash windows, large archways, and fireplaces. To complement these features, Rencraft maximised the height of the cabinetry with top boxes that align with the high ceilings, creating a cohesive and elegant look. This thoughtful approach allows clients to connect with the space, appreciating the bespoke details and features as they move through the showroom. Each kitchen is designed to challenge individual tastes and inspire an ever-expanding ‘wish list,’ reflecting Rencraft's deep passion for kitchens and design.

The choice to use Caesarstone in the kitchen displays was driven by the brand’s reputation for quality and durability. “We like to source like-minded partners where we can overlap and integrate their services into our displays, and Caesarstone fits the bill perfectly”, says Stephens. Its worktops were selected for its premium design credentials and unrivalled resilience, being stain, scratch, and chip-resistant. Its non-porous surface, coupled with heat resistance, makes it an ideal choice for prospective customer’s kitchen surfaces.
