Caesarstone's 4601 Frozen Terra is the perfect addition to this playful, two-toned kitchen.

When it came to renovating the kitchen in their new home in Hither Green, south-east London, Andrew Gall, his partner and two young children sought out a clean-lined and joyful aesthetic. To achieve this, a two-tone melody of sky blue and oak cabinetry is combined with Caesarstone’s rugged 4601 Frozen Terra worktops. The surface’s pale canvas is embellished by glimmers of black basalt and multiple tones of translucent grey, fusing the playfulness of terrazzo with the robustness of concrete.

However, due to rising building costs, this idea became too expensive – so they asked us to design a sociable and functional kitchen that would make the best use of their existing, limited space. This proved to be a bit of a design challenge as they wanted a kitchen island with some bar stool seating within the galley layout.”Caesarstone Frozen Terra breakfast bar and kitchen worktops Piqu crafted a bespoke slim-line island which houses the hob. This unit allows for optimal storage and work surface area, whilst also creating a central place for the family to sit and enjoy a bite. Throughout the space, the appliances are by Siemens, with a sink and brass tap by Franke.

It is clean and bright with a lovely warmth that complements our kitchen colours.” Rating his satisfaction with his Caesarstone surface a perfect five out of five, he highlights how the design’s aesthetic and practical qualities have enhanced the kitchen’s overall appeal.

Scratch, stain, and heat resistant, a Caesarstone splashback makes clean-up easy after your dinner has splashed behind the hob.”

It’s no secret kitchens are a highly busy place for families, and the worktop – more than any other part – really takes the brunt of this. Caesarstone surfaces are all sustainably made with longevity in mind, and as such, come with a unique Lifetime Warranty for residential applications.
