ASL Kitchens and Bathrooms, located in Northampton, have recently completed a kitchen refurbishment combining bespoke cabinetry and Caesarstone’s Snow quartz worktops.
ASL’s brief from the homeowner was for a kitchen that offered plentiful storage and a light, spacious atmosphere.
Bespoke cabinetry offered maximised storage for the kitchen, with a range of base, wall and island units providing plenty of capacity for the family. ALS’s bespoke cabinets were combined with Kew doors from Burbidge, delivering a contemporary take on the traditional Shaker kitchen aesthetic.
The base and wall units were finished in Burbidge’s Putty paint offering, which accentuates the form of the door design and reveals the textures of the solid ash framing, whilst the kitchen island was finished in a bespoke paint finish for additional warmth and a subtle contrast, with the walls painted to match.
The lightness of the colour pallet was matched with Caesarstone’s 2141 Snow kitchen worktops. The quartz worktops offer a natural complement to the neutral colour schemes for the interior; Snow has a warm white base with a finely textured grain, which makes it an ideal worktop surface for white kitchens, and other neutral colourways.
For this kitchen, 2141 Snow was installed as a polished surface by stone fabricators Algarve Granite; the smooth reflective finish helps broaden the space and lightens the kitchen atmosphere. Snow is also available as a honed kitchen worktop surface, with a more matt finish, offering kitchen studios and other interior designers flexibility in design.

The choice of 2141 Snow for the kitchen worktops offers an easy-to-clean surface that is hard-wearing and resistant to scratches, chips and cracks. Unlike a natural stone surface such as a marble or granite worktop, Caesarstone quartz worktops do not require sealing.
The expansive work surface, including the focal kitchen island, alongside ‘slide-and-hide’ pyro self-cleaning oven and full steam oven, both from Neff, and an induction hob with a carefully integrated and hidden hood makes this this kitchen a delight to cook and entertain in.
Meeting the homeowner’s demand for smart storage solutions, ASL supplied side by side Siemens fridge and freezer units, which provide chilled water and ice on demand with a significant capacity increase compared to American style fridge freezers.
Lighting was also a key consideration for ASL in this kitchen renovation. Low-energy under-cupboard lighting was provided by LEDs, while hue-changing pendent fixtures from Radiant Lighting add a whimsical charm.
