Caesarstone’s 5131 Calacatta Nuvo worktops chosen for a modern, monochrome kitchen.

When a young professional couple based in Central London approached The Main Company to redesign the kitchen in their two-bedroom flat, they had a clear vision in mind. They wanted a contemporary and timeless space with the perfect mix of style, practicality, and a strong connection to its urban surroundings – ideal for everyday living and entertaining. The design maintains an uncluttered, open feel and allows scenic views of the Thames to remain centre-stage. Caesarstone’s 5131 Calacatta Nuvo, with its soft and pale tones, provided the perfect neutral backdrop for this new, expanded kitchen.caesarstone-main-company-calacatta-nuvo-03The floor plan was meticulously designed to optimise flow and functionality, without compromising the views in the process. The Main Company introduced an open-plan layout by removing an internal wall between the kitchen and living space. Then, they installed a single wall kitchen with a spacious, multifunctional island. The latter houses a sleek Bora induction hob and exhaust system, which is a real testament to modern innovation. From culinary endeavours to dining and socialising, the island, topped with Calacatta Nuvo, forms the heart of the kitchen.

The marble-inspired countertop creates a visually captivating balance that plays with light and shadow – helping to make the space feel bigger.
