Kitchen designers Piqu chose Caesarstone Empira White surfaces for this modern renovation, perfectly suiting this busy family home.
Looking for a smart solution whilst remodelling their downstairs living space, Piqu’s clients decided to extend, increasing the size of their kitchen to create an open plan kitchen and diner area. Fundamental to the client’s everyday life, it was important to create a perfect space fit for both busy life with a young family and late evenings entertaining friends.
Incorporating a showstopper island with smart seating for fuss free meals was an important feature for Piqu’s clients, they also needed enough space to prepare meals on the opposite side without interruption. This kitchen space needed to be multifunctional and it was key no compromises were made on a more formal dining table for dinner parties.
With all of this in mind, it was crucial to maximise the space. Creating a single wall kitchen gave the open plan-living arrangement the clients were seeking whilst incorporating all the appliances and furniture throughout the room.
Adrian Graves from Piqu says "The design is almost perfectly symmetrical with the tall units ‘bookending’ the kitchen."
Understanding the bright and modern feel their client dreamed for, Piqu suggested using 5151 Empira White. Complementing the fresh white kitchen furniture effortlessly, the subtle but classic marble detailing, suited the sophistication of this family kitchen.

The intricate organic forms of Empira White is showcased on the waterfall statement island, intelligently fitting both Bora hob and breakfast bar seating perfect for the family who loves to cook.
"Not only does it look great, but it functions really well - keeping all the cooking and preparation on one side of the kitchen island, and socialising on the other side."
As well as Empira White’s delicate design, Caesarstone’s surfaces’ low maintenance and improved durability made Piqu recommend this surface as a perfect fit for this modern family kitchen.
