The brief was clear: create a space that feels warm and welcoming, with natural textures and thoughtful detailing. The kitchen needed to serve as a hub for cooking, hosting and spending time together, while maintaining a sense of calm and cohesion throughout the home. One of the key architectural challenges was widening the kitchen footprint, which required the installation of structural steel. This allowed for a more open layout and better flow between zones, setting the stage for a design that feels both expansive and intimate. ![Caesarstone Topus Concrete kitchen surface](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/crouch-design-topus-concrete-02.webp?width=1440&height=960&name=crouch-design-topus-concrete-02.webp)At the heart of the space is Caesarstone’s Topus Concrete, which has been used for both the worktops and the splashback. With its soft, mineral tones and organic movement, the surface provides a serene counterpoint to the tactile materials that surround it – from the floor-to-ceiling green joinery and textured wooden cabinets to the exposed brick wall and L-shaped island that anchors the layout. Together, these elements create a space that feels layered and lived-in, where contemporary design meets rustic warmth. “Topus Concrete was a clear choice from the outset,” says Ryan Crouch, Director at Crouch Design. “Its subtle texture and warm undertones work beautifully with the villa-inspired palette. It brings a sense of depth and tactility to the space without overpowering it.” ![crouch-design-topus-concrete-03](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/crouch-design-topus-concrete-03.webp?width=1440&height=960&name=crouch-design-topus-concrete-03.webp)While aesthetics was key, practicality was equally important. Engineered for durability, Topus Concrete offers exceptional resistance to stains, scratches and moisture, making it ideal for high-use areas such as worktops, splashbacks, and islands. Its honed finish adds a soft, matt elegance that elevates the design while standing up to the demands of daily family life. ![crouch-design-topus-concrete-04](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/crouch-design-topus-concrete-04.webp?width=1440&height=960&name=crouch-design-topus-concrete-04.webp)Inspired by the beauty of natural materials, Caesarstone surfaces are crafted to reflect the organic patterns, textures and colours found in stone and earth. Topus Concrete takes cues from the warm hues of topological layers found in natural rock formations, resulting in a surface that feels authentic, timeless, and connected to nature. ![Close-Ups of Caesarstone Topus Concrete worktops and splashback](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/crouch-design-topus-concrete-05.webp?width=1440&height=960&name=crouch-design-topus-concrete-05.webp)The kitchen also features premium appliances and fittings from Bora, Miele, and Quooker, all chosen to complement the understated luxury of the space. Hendel & Hendel’s bespoke cabinetry adds further refinement, with clean lines and thoughtful proportions that echo the villa-style brief. Bradley and Ryan Crouch have worked with Caesarstone across multiple projects and continue to trust the brand for [its reliability](https://www.caesarstone.co.uk/warranty) and design versatility. “We’ve never had a client who didn’t love their Caesarstone worktop,” says Ryan. “The surfaces are consistent, easy to work with and always deliver on both aesthetics and performance.” ![Close-up of Caesarstone's Topus Concrete kitchen worktop surface](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/crouch-design-topus-concrete-06.webp?width=1440&height=960&name=crouch-design-topus-concrete-06.webp)Planning your own renovation?
