Vicky described the family’s needs: “The client desired a family space where her children could sit at a breakfast bar for their morning meal. Also, storage was important, and the completed project demonstrates this with slide away doors and plenty of storage space within the crisp, clean design”. ![caesarstone frosty-carrina dry hill park road battersea](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/caesarstone-frosty-carrina-dry-hill-park-road-battersea-05.jpg?width=1240&name=caesarstone-frosty-carrina-dry-hill-park-road-battersea-05.jpg)The desired aesthetic was crucial; soft, light tones were preferred by the family, and Leicht Battersea’s design comprised of sleek, silk matt doors for the cabinetry. The neutral colour of the cabinetry was complimented by Caesarstone’s [5141 Frosty Carrina](https://www.caesarstone.co.uk/colours/supernatural/5141-frosty-carrina/) quartz worktops, a design based on an elegant soft ivory white base with delicate powdery grey veins, resulting in a sophisticated ambience for the kitchen. [**Use our visualiser to try out new kitchen design ideas >>**](https://www.caesarstone.co.uk/online-visualiser/) Whilst inspired by classic Italian Bianco Carrara marbles, 5141 Frosty Carrina offers ease of maintenance; like all Caesarstone quartz worktop surfaces Frosty Carrina is non-porous resulting in a stain-resistant surface that does not require the regular sealing required with a natural marble. Combining with the fresh aesthetic, wood grains on the wall cabinets and central kitchen island provided a gentle contrast for the colourway. The brief for a breakfast bar was key to the design of the integrated island that offered dining space, as well as more storage for the family. ![dry hill park road battersea](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/hs-fs/hubfs/caesarstone-frosty-carrina-dry-hill-park-road-battersea-06.jpg?width=1240&name=caesarstone-frosty-carrina-dry-hill-park-road-battersea-06.jpg)The choices of appliances was also a key design decision for Vicky in completing the kitchen design. A Miele combi-microwave was chosen, while an extra-wide range cooker from Smeg. Also featured in the design was a Siemens A Cool refrigerator/freezer combination, complete with wine-cooler, perfect for hosting guests. Similarly, a drinks cabinet with slide-away doors and internal lighting was also indicative of how the dual priorities of clever storage and suitability for entertaining was met. The choice of a premium quartz brand in Caesarstone for the worktops was representative of the quality of premium manufacturers selected for appliances throughout the project, with the choice of a Blanco sink and Quooker boiled water tap completing the scheme. ### Topics - [Case Study](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/tag/case-study) ## Related Articles ![Bettina's Caesarstone Kitchen](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/hubfs/caesarstone-bettinas-kitchen-cloudburst-concrete-01.webp) [ Read more ](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/case-study-bettinas-kitchen-a-creative-culinary-studio-built-for-connection) Case study: Bettina’s Kitchen - A Creative Culinary Studio Built for Connection [ Read more ](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/case-study-bettinas-kitchen-a-creative-culinary-studio-built-for-connection) ![](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/hubfs/IMG_2440.jpeg) [ Read more ](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/case-study-bringing-warmth-and-elegance-to-a-coastal-kitchen) Case study: Bringing warmth and elegance to a coastal kitchen [ Read more ](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/case-study-bringing-warmth-and-elegance-to-a-coastal-kitchen) ![](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/hubfs/caesarstone-manon-legreve-taj-royale-01.webp) [ Read more ](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/case-study-bake-off-contestant-manon-lagrèves-kitchen-renovation) Case Study: Bake-Off Contestant Manon Lagrève’s Kitchen renovation [ Read more ](https://blog.caesarstone.co.uk/case-study-bake-off-contestant-manon-lagrèves-kitchen-renovation) ##### Accessibility Menu Contrast Grayscale High Contrast Default Contrast Other Settings Highlight Links Pause all motion Cancel Accessibility ##### Search * * ##### Select your region and language Continue Can't find your local site?
