Audus Kitchens has recently completed an expansive and minimalist contemporary kitchen, using Caesarstone Airy Concrete for the worktops and large central island.
The client was already blessed with a large kitchen area and exceptional views over the beautifully landscaped gardens. However, they required a more multi-functional space.
The new design from Audus combines an open plan diner and kitchen combination, with elegance and simplicity at the heart of the space. Nobilia cabinetry was used for the kitchen, with Touch units finished in Alpine White contrasting against the statement Line-N handleless island in matt Stone Grey. The sophisticated design of the smooth, sleek fronts creates a sharp, linear impression, emphasising the modern look.
To complement the contemporary cabinetry, Audus chose Caesarstone 4044 Airy Concrete quartz worktops from the award-winning Metropolitan Collection. On the island unit, these were wrapped over one end – known as a ‘waterfall end’ – making it a striking centrepiece to the kitchen.
John Lindsey, director at Audus, explained the choice of the surfaces:
“We chose the Airy Concrete from Caesarstone primarily for the natural look. It fitted perfectly with the rest of the interior design creating a very modern style.”
Airy Concrete features a tactile rough concrete finish and a blend of lighter grey tones for an authentic appearance. The varying soft tones illustrate the richness that minimalism can achieve, and the unique texture expresses depth across the worktop surface.
It is only with Caesarstone’s unique cutting-edge technology that the weathered patinas found in Airy Concrete and the other surfaces in the Metropolitan Collection could be achieved in quartz, and it is this array of textures in combination with exemplary service that is applauded by John:

The minimalist grey tones of the Airy Concrete top, and the white and slate of the cabinetry and island is further reflected in the decorative splashback.
