Caesarstone’s 4044 Airy Concrete worktops are the perfect choice for this high-traffic, contemporary chef’s kitchen.

Designed for a keen chef with vast storage needs, this bespoke London kitchen by Roundhouse effortlessly blends form and function. The project, developed in collaboration with Suzy Hoodless Interiors, features matt dark grey cabinets alongside pale wood and black steel details.

Central to the design is Caesarstone’s 4044 Airy Concrete surface, chosen for its contemporary appearance, tactile matte finish, and exceptional durability. This material not only provides a resilient workspace for daily cooking but also forms the splashback and open shelving, enhancing the kitchen's industrial aesthetic with its rough feel.

Caesarstone Airy Concrete worktops, island and backsplashWhen asked why Roundhouse selected Caesarstone’s 4044 Airy Concrete, Senior Designer, Allison Lynch, explained: “For this project, we especially loved the matt concrete-effect that draws you in to want to stroke it! And having Caesarstone in my own kitchen, I’m very much an advocate of the material because I cook and clean a lot, and know first-hand just how well it performs in a busy space. I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t love Caesarstone – from both a design and durability perspective. ”

Caesarstone surfaces are each thoughtfully crafted with longevity in mind. Championing a 'buy once, buy well' philosophy, all designs come with a unique Lifetime Warranty for residential applications to give you added peace of mind that your worktop will stand the test of time, even in the busiest of kitchens.

Caesarstone Airy Concrete island in a chef's kitchenClean lines, simplicity, and clutter-free surfaces were key to creating this modern and minimalist scheme, but the kitchen also boasts plenty of personality-filled touches. For example, vibrant abstract paintings sit above a 4044 Airy Concrete shelf which displays characterful crockery. Another stand-out feature is a generous oak veneered storage cabinet, smartly encased behind Crittall-style sliding doors. Fitted with fluted glass to refract light and partially obscure the contents when closed, it packs in plenty of easily accessible storage without overpowering the overall design.

The kitchen is equipped with top-of-the-line appliances, including Gaggenau ovens and hobs, a Fisher & Paykel fridge-freezer, and a versatile Quooker tap – offering boiling, chilled, and sparkling water on demand.
